Closed loop
Our closed-loop economy demonstrates how organic farming and environmentally respectful management can successfully combine.
Therefore, LaSelva’s activity is based on the self-regulating effect of soil vitality, which includes a sophisticated crop rotation and the obtaining of nutrient-rich soil through the use of fertilizer provided by our animals.
It is precisely our livestock that provides us with nutrient-rich compost, which is applied to the soil before planting. This allows us to have a constant and high-quality supply of essential nutrients for crops.
The forage and grains for the nourishment of our animals come from the harvesting of crops on the farm during crop rotation.
