LaSelva is monitored according to EU regulations on organic farming and is certified by Naturland and ICEA (Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification). Various steps are needed before a product can be certified officially as an eco-product and then placed on the market. Every detail must be painstakingly reported, including yearly crop and processing planning, records showing the purchase of seeds, plants and raw materials, and the various farming and planning phases.
The printing of each single label must be authorised and control bodies are constantly informed about production. This is all part of a complex but efficient control system. Indeed, it is only by strictly complying with organic farming and processing regulations, that our idea of authenticity and reliability can be put into practice and that we can ensure that consumers are protected.
