For decades, our economy – which has used a closed cycle as much as possible – has shown how organic farming and environmentally friendly management can be successfully combined. To achieve this, LaSelva's activity is based on the self-regulation of soil fertility, which includes crop rotation and use of a nutrient-rich soil.
To keep our soil rich in nutrients, we use the fertiliser produced by our animals – a nutritious compost, which is applied to the land before sowing. This ensures that high-quality, essential nutrients are constantly supplied to LaSelva’s crops. The forage and grains used for feeding our animals come from the crops harvested during agricultural rotation.
